[edit]

In Aurex 203.26 Zeta, Oil Slick, Ransack, and Refute were battling Swerve and Roadhandler when Unicron abducted them.

Oil Slick constructed semi-sentient drone Search and Destroy Robots, based on scans of Nightbeat, to serve him during the Universe War, often as suicide bombers. Ask Vector Prime, 2015/08/04

And why he ourple?
  • Crystal Widow VS. Oil Slick (Multi-pack, 2004)
Available only in a Kmart-exclusive 2-pack with the Autobot Crystal Widow, Universe Oil Slick is a redeco and minor retool of Armada Side Swipe, with the chest plate's molded Autobot sigil replaced with a molded Decepticon sigil. He transforms into a mix between a Nissan Skyline R32 Sedan and a Nissan Silvia S13. Pressing down on the sigil plate in vehicle mode swings his car hood halves forward in a spring-loaded attack. These hood parts end up on his arms in robot mode, giving him a spring-loaded attack in that mode.
He comes with a Search and Destroy Robot mini-partner that can store in a flip-out section of the back end of Oil Slick's vehicle mode. Attaching the Search and Destroy Robot (or any other Mini-Con mold) to the Powerlinx plug on his back activates a "punching" action gimmick in his left arm.
The same mold is used by Treadshot, and a heavily-retooled version was released in the Cybertron toyline as Runamuck.

Notes

[edit]
  • As Oil Slick's toy was packaged with a "versus Crystal Widow" theme, he was thought to be from a Generation 1 universe until the Facebook version of Ask Vector Prime revealed his continuity family of origin. And since the best known version of Crystal Widow was later confirmed to be from a Unicron Trilogy universe, this set now has a Unicron Trilogy theme to it. Bet you wish you got this set now!
