Pan-Handler

Pan-Handler is a Decepticon-allied Mini-Con from the Unicron Trilogy continuity family (via the 2010 Transformers toyline).
Please, sir, spare some change?

Pan-Handler is as brave as they come. More, he's got the strength, durability and firepower to be a major force in any battle. Yet there must be a reason he remains at the bottom of the Decepticon ranks, homeless and unemployed. One probably doesn't need to look much further than his profound lack of skill, ponderous slow speed, and absolute abysmal stupidity.<ref>Pan-Handler's single-carded Tech Specs.</ref>

[edit]
  • Pan-Handler (Mini-Con, 2010)
Pan-Handler is a minor retool of Classics Sledge, transforming into a backhoe loader. He has a "Powerlinx" socket on the underside of his vehicle mode, allowing him to attach to larger toys with compatible Powerlinx plugs. His instructions show the payloader-shovel support struts assembled in reverse to the actual toy and stock photos, which makes transforming his right shoulder as the instructions show (as seen in the toy photo) result in a slightly more awkward arm/shovel-hand position than the stock photo positioning.
He was only sold on an individual cardback, in discount store chains like Family Dollar in the U.S.
This mold was also used to make Rockblade, Universe Backstop, and Mighty Bull.

Notes

[edit]
  • There was no indication what universe Pan-Handler was from on his packaging. The Facebook edition of Ask Vector Prime would later declare him to be a Unicron Trilogy character.
  • All four of the Mini-Cons in this assortment come on red cards like the Generations toys, but lack the "Generations" on the logo, thus this wiki classifies them as "2010" product.
  • Pan-Handler is the odd man, er, bot out within the assortment he was a part of. Brake-Neck, Drivetrain, and Swashplate are retools of the Recon Mini-Con Team, which was part of the Cybertron toyline. Pan-Handler's original mold was going to be released within the same toyline as a two-pack, but it got shifted over to the Classics toyline.
