Pangaea

"This world is older than any of you know. Contrary to popular mythology, it did not begin as a paradise."

In days long past, all of the continents of Earth were fused together in one supercontinent known as Pangaea.

The Last Knight film

During the era of Pangea, Unicron's six horns met at the future site of Stonehenge. By the 21st century, continental drift had shifted the six horns far apart across the globe, but Seymour Simmons was able to deduce Stonehenge's true significance and relay the revelation to Edmund Burton. Cyberverse cartoon

[edit]

When the Ark crashed on Earth, it did so during the era of Pangea. Ejected from the ship before its crash, Grimlock mapped the supercontinent to try to locate the Ark only for an asteroid impact to knock him into stasis lock. In the modern day, when he showed his map to his friends, Teletraan-X used it, alongside the Ark's entry trajectory and records of continental drift, to determine where the ship had ended up. Trivia

[edit]
  • In real life, Pangaea is estimated to have split up somewhere around 175 million years ago as opposed to the 65-66 million year timeframe given by the Cyberverse cartoon. In fact, by the time the Ark arrived, the continents had already drifted into a roughly modern layout. Then again, Cyberverse isn't the first cartoon to cock up the geography of prehistoric Earth.
