Parrot and armadillo

- The parrot and armadillo are animals from the Generation 1 continuity family.

The parrot (インコ inko) and armadillo (アルマジロ arumajiro) are Cab's dear pets from the Karin Islands, going with him wherever he goes and living in his treehouse.
Each animal has its own talents. The parrot is a very chatty, intelligent animal who speaks a fair bit of Japanese and often lets slip things that Cab would rather his friends not know about. In contrast, the armadillo isn't particularly bright, but is rather good at rolling up into a ball. To instruct the armadillo to either curl up or unfurl, the parrot will often squawk "Armadillo, transform!" and the armadillo will comply.

The parrot and armadillo accompanied Cab in his journey into the forest where Cab found the injured Monta. The armadillo, while curled into a ball, was stepped on by Donq; the old man fell as a result. Later, when Cab confronted Shūta Gō on the true nature of his Pretender friends on their visit to the Karin islands, the armadillo threw itself as a ball at Shūta, but the boy was able to use his soccer skills to play around with the animal's form.
The two accompanied Cab when he went to Japan for his education. Terror! The Decepticons' Manhunt Once Cab finished his treehouse residence, he raced the parrot through the Japanese woods. After Cab's stay in detention with Mr. Kaiser, the parrot and the armadillo rushed to play with Shūta and Minerva. The parrot revealed to the two the fact that Cab got a zero on a test. When Kaiser ran to give Cab a letter from Donq, the parrot and the armadillo threw themselves in his way, causing him to fall over. Later, while the armadillo was halfway up the ladder to Cab's treehouse, the parrot ordered him to unfurl. Annoyed, the armadillo took out its frustrations on the bird. A Fierce Battle!! The Autobots Are in Trouble When the trio were eating a banana bunch, the armadillo was there enjoying a banana of his own. The parrot was much less graceful, flying into the treehouse's window, hitting the window's prop, and crashing into the banana bunch. Cab berated the bird for being so "noisy in front of a lady". Ginrai: God On of Rage!! The two joined another meal, this time outside. The parrot deflated Cab's ego when he claimed to be good at everything. Friend or Foe!? The True Form of the Monster!!

The parrot and the armadillo began to accompany Cab to trips outside of Japan, beginning with their travel to Canada to find a Godmaster. The two stayed with Cab and Shūta as they fished and attended the feast that night, where the parrot joined in the praise of Minerva's cooking. An Enemy?
