Pierre Trabaud

Pierre Trabaud (August 7, 1922 - February 26, 2005) was a French actor and director.

He started cinema in 1945 and played in various films, but became famous for his role of the school teacher in War of the Buttons in 1962. At the same moment, he becomes active in voice acting for cinema, television and radio. After a break of around twenty years in his life as an actor, in 1983 he directed his first and only feature film, which he also wrote, Le Voleur de feuilles, which he financed himself.

Very active in voice acting in the 1980s, he dubbed several times Peter Falk, Burt Young, Marlon Bando and Dennis Hopper. In animation, he was mostly known as the voice of Master Roshi in Dragon Ball, a role he will keep until Dragon Ball Z in 1996. He was also the voice of Joe Dalton in several Lucky Luke animated films and series, Popeye in the eponymous series, Daffy Duck in the original Looney Tunes, Wicket in Ewoks (also in The Ewok Adventure film) and several Care Bears.
