Piko piko hammer

A piko piko hammer (ピコピコハンマー) is a hammer variant that's a wee bit less destructive than the hammer average. The gynoid Artemis wields one, recognizable by the "A" in the middle of the head, as her signature weapon.

Shortly after being created in 2039 as part of Project Gaia, Artemis displayed a predisposition to bonking Moon with her piko piko hammer. How she even got her hands on the weapon, well before she even got her coat, is unclear as her creator, Atari Hitotonari, did not approve of Artemis's behavior. That said, she also didn't take it decisively away and allowed Artemis to continue raising her piko piko hammer against Moon. Epiloge

By the time Galvatron arrived on Gaia, Artemis's and Moon's relation was still so that she often enacted violence on him. In most cases, this took the form of her hitting him with her piko piko hammer, such as when he unhelpfully panicked about the Angolmois Energy acting up, The New Forces Arrive! when he slept through an Angolmois Energy crisis, White Lion, Run! when he again unhelpfully panicked, Bighorn's Rage when he prioritized tasty food during another Angolmois Energy crisis, The Lake Trap and when he failed to timely inform her about yet another Angolmois Energy crisis. Although Artemis's aggression didn't quite stop here, she never again wielded her piko piko hammer against Moon. Notes

Piko piko hammers are a type of Japanese toy hammer, the first of which were produced in 1965 under the brand name KO Hammer (KOハンマー). It's that abbreviation of "knock-out" that is the second part of "piko". Piko piko hammers are made of plastic and designed to take the brunt of the impact. It's a standard joke weapon and if a fictional character wields a piko piko hammer as a genuine weapon, it usually means they're childish and the harm they do tends to be on the comedic end of the scale.
