Razor-Sharp could become a rifle that fired exploding plasma energy projectiles, which could combine with Banzai-Tron's plasma energy pistol to increase his power. Banzai-Tron's More than Meets the Eye profile Nightbeat was able to use his plasma rifle in both robot and vehicle modes. The Transformers Razor-Sharp was described in the toy's instructions as combining with Banzai-Tron's photon neutralizer to form a semi-automatic gun, which the packaging bio extrapolated to being a semi-automatic rifle that fired explosive plasma energy projectiles.

Notes

• The above image from Dreamwave's More than Meets the Eye series was the first time Razor-Sharp's weapons mode got a proper name, however since it was described in the same profile as firing plasma energy projectiles and Banzai-Tron was given a plasma energy pistol in place of his photon neutralizer, it seems inconsistent that they didn't go with the name "plasma energy rifle".
• According to his toy's instructions, packaging bio, and Marvel Universe profile, Nightbeat carried a plasma blaster but for some reason, More than Meets the Eye profiles apparently really liked adding the word "rifle" to various pre-existing weapons' names.
