Platemail

Platemail is a Mini-Con from the Generation 1 continuity family.

Helping Platemails to fulfill their objective is the fact they are all equipped with the most advanced tool belt known to Mini-Cons. It's been rumored that their tool belts could even contain a Prime Artifact. When partnered with a larger Transformer, Platemails can bestow powerful defensive abilities on them.

The Mini-Cons were all brought to Earth from another dimension by Micronus Prime and could be found by humans in the Guardian Program equipped with an Autobot Scanner modified with Decepticon technology. Once located and recruited by paying them Energon, Platemails could be partnered with Autobots to give them new abilities. Transformers: Heavy Metal

  • Abilities granted by Platemail include:
    • Field Repair — Repair 100 HP. Gain 100 armor. — Costs 1, higher ranks add +25 to both values.
    • Repli-Plate — Gain 50 armor twice. — Costs 1, higher ranks add +25 to the armor gained.
    • Hasty Defense — Gain 50 armor, take an extra turn. — Costs 1, higher ranks add 10 armor.
