In the year 1888, Port Cenotaph was invaded by fish people and Decepticons on behalf of an ancient Elder God slumbering beneath the Atlantic Ocean. The town's population quickly fell under the God's thrall, turning into its mindless servants. Infestation 2: The Transformers #1 Under its influence, they summoned the Elder God to the surface near Port Cenotaph's shore. As the town's telegraphic communications with the outside world ceased, suspicions were raised of a connection between it and the sinking of several ships in the Atlantic. Ships from multiple nations were sent to investigate and ended up fighting the Elder God and its minions. Though the town suffered damage in the battle, the world was saved when Optimus Prime defeated the God and freed the inhabitants from its control. Infestation 2: The Transformers #2
