The Predacon lake fortress is a base the Predacons under command of Galvatron and Megastorm built at the bottom of a lake on Gaia. A large gap meant to dock the Galvaburg II runs through the structure. There is also a smaller harbor used to park two submarines.

Ostensibly on Megastorm's orders, the Predacons built a fortress at the bottom of a lake. Once completed, the Autorollers built a smaller decoy base on shore for the express purpose of getting the Maximals' attention and capturing any snoopers. They got Tasmania Kid this way, who ended up in one of presumably several hidden cages set up in the area. He was brought into the fortress and manipulated through a deadly trap-laden air vent to force the other Maximals to surrender. They might've, had they not had Diver and Scuba on the team, who discovered that the actual base was located underwater. Although the Predactons' fortress was impenetrable, Thrust and Dirge were sent out in a submarine to retrieve some more Maximals and got tricked into returning to the fortress. Diver and Scuba used the opening provided to infiltrate and turned the tables. As victory was no longer assured, Megastorm ordered the Predacons to evacuate to the Galvaburg II and blow up the fortress with the Maximals lost inside. Despite the drastic measures, the Maximals escaped timely and the fortress was destroyed for nothing. The Lake Trap
