With the success of the Autobots' S.T.A.R.S. program, the Decepticons responded with their own Decepto-Pack, enslaving humans and giving them the Decepto-Packs to augment their capabilities and help the Decepticons conquer the planet. Galvatron eventually provoked a nuclear strike that provided him the energon necessary to build Zod drones which he unleashed across the reality, conquering many systems and functionally destroying the Autobot resistance. After a sizeable portion of the galaxy fell to the Decepticon Empire, the Quintesson Pan Galactic Co-Prosperity Sphere interfered, deploying their Terrorcons hordes against the Zod army. Through the sacrificial efforts of The Autobot and the Dreadnoks, Galvatron met his end when his spark was destroyed as he was transplanting it into Cybertron itself to become Grand Galvatron. Despite his death, the war continued for several more centuries. When it finally came to a close, Earth and humanity attempted to rebuild only to learn that the Galactic Council, representing the broken universe, blamed humankind for the war.
