Primum Fugae

The Primum Fugae are a Transformer sub-group from Marvel portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

Premium Benghazi? Prime Fugazi? What?

The Primum Fugae are a Cybertronian guard bred not for their social niceties but instead for being fearsome soldiers.

Fiction

Regeneration One

Members of the Primum Fugae accompanied their master Jhiaxus to Cybertron when they teleported to the world by way of space bridge. They later transformed and flew over the surface of the planet with orders not to attack the dominant strain of Cybertronians native to the world. During their travel, they saw the primordial Cybertronians' hastily constructed shanty town and targeted these sub-evolved creatures for elimination, considering them to be products of anarchy that were abominations before their conformed universe, and therefore exempt from the no-kill order. The purge was stopped by the intervention of the Dinobots, leading to a skirmish between them and the Primum Fugae. Their battle only ended when Jhiaxus had finished his demands to Rodimus Prime, whereupon they all departed Cybertron. The War to End All Wars, Part 2

This chain of events saw an Autobot response where they attacked the Hub Network. While Rook stayed beside Jhiaxus throughout this and relayed his commands to the other troops, where the rest of the Primum Fugae were is unknown. They could be among the numerous identical-looking Cybertronian forces that attacked the Autobots, and may or may not have survived the conflict. The War to End All Wars, Part 3

Notes

• Primum Fugae is intended to be Latin for "First Flight". However, fugae means "flight" in the sense of "fleeing" and not "flying", fugae is plural, and primum and fugae do not match in gender or number. A better Latin rendering would be Primus Volatus.
• The members of the Primum Fugae are all named after types of birds.
