Production I.G, named after its founders Mitsuhisa Ishikawa and Takayuki Goto upon their departure at Tatsunoko Production in 1987, is a Japanese animation studio. You may know them best from their constant formula of series set in the near or far future that regularly focuses on law enforcement such as Patlabor, Ghost in the Shell, Psycho-Pass and Netflix's B: The Beginning. Or their sports anime like Haikyuu!!, The Prince of Tennis (co-produced with Trans Arts Co.) or Kuroko's Basketball. They're also behind Heavenly Delusion, Moriarty the Patriot, Video Girl Ai, Red Photon Zillion, Robotics;Notes, Attack on Titan, FLCL, the Blood franchise and Terminator Zero.

They've also contributed to a handful of side projects, such as the animated segment in Kill Bill, cutscenes in Bandai Namco Entertainment's Tales series, the opening for Sonic Riders, and both the cutscene and in-game animations for Wario Land: Shake it!. Additionally, they've assisted in several other productions, including The Animatrix, Eden, Outlaw Star, Trigun Stampede, Mind Game and Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt.

In relation to Transformers, they would be hired by Studio Trigger to provide inbetween animation for the franchise's 40th anniversary short; with credit going to Shiori Yoshino, Nao Sakuma, Maiko Ueno, Nodoka Iwamoto and Ngia Hiu Tung.
