Psycho-Projector

The Psycho-Projector is a weapon typically wielded by Hound which triggers intense terror in Cybertronians. It accomplishes this by stimulating the victim's fear center to cause a hallucination of the victim's worst nightmares that seems completely believable to the senses (though cannot actually physically harm the victim). However, it can be suppressed with the proper equipment, and can lose its impact when the members of a group realize they're all seeing different things.

When the Autobots launched an attack against the Arch-Ayr fuel dump that the Decepticons had recently rediscovered, the Decepticons had to set up a dampener to block the hallucination signals from Hound's Psycho-Projector. When the Dinobots later arrived, Sideswipe initially thought they were nightmares produced by the Projector, until Thundercracker pointed out that the dampener was still running, and Crasher had further pummeled Hound offline. Much later, Hound faked his death during the Ark's launch to Earth, and hid amongst Remote Patrol Six. When he teased Powerglide about being scared of flying, Powerglide retaliated by teasing Hound about being afraid of organic lifeforms and Earth. This made Hound angry, and he powered up the Projector, threatening to "show you what I'm afraid of". Powerglide protested that didn't make sense, but Sandstorm was able to distract Hound away from starting a fight. Do Over
