Grimlock versus Ser-Ket!
Synopsis
[edit]Horrified at the sight of the re-forged Swoop, a furious Grimlock ignores the other Dinobots' protestations and challenges Ser-Ket to a one-on-one duel, vowing that they will all submit to her if he loses, but that she must restore Swoop if he wins. Given that a large-scale battle would leave the outnumbered Dinobots more likely to be destroyed and thus of no use to her, Ser-Ket agrees, and the two square off within a flaming ring generated for them by the Dinobots' fire-breath. Ser-Ket's blinding speed and animalistic bodyform quickly prove too much for Grimlock to handle, and she taunts him to unleash his dinosaur form, daring him to embrace the form Shockwave gave him. Initially reluctant, knowing he will lose control, Grimlock soon realizes he has no choice and shifts modes, quickly overpowering Ser-Ket with his prehistoric fury. Before he can finish her, she orders Swoop to intervene, and the brainwashed flier attacks Grimlock. Lost in beast mode rage, Grimlock's vicious counter-attack shocks the brainwashed Swoop back to normalcy; Grimlock is ready to kill his comrade, but fortunately, the other Dinobots are able to talk him down. Ser-Ket strikes when Grimlock is distracted, but is no match for his dinosaur mode and has her head torn off by his powerful jaws.
With their leader having fallen, the Forged keep their word and allow the Dinobots, Ultra Magnus and the other prisoners to go free. As they all start climbing down the mountain, however, Ser-Ket reveals that she is still very much alive, the loss of her robot mode head having had no impact on the function of her true form, a winged dragon that seizes Grimlock and hauls him into the air. Swoop transforms and gives chase, tackling Ser-Ket and taking revenge for his own lost optic by pecking out one of hers. Ser-Ket crashes to the ground as Swoop takes hold of Grimlock and brings him down safely to land alongside her. Grimlock finishes the Predacon off by stabbing her through the head with his sword, at which point Shockwave emerges from the haze of the Rust Sea, lamenting the loss of Ser-Ket, but declaring that Grimlock has made him proud.
