Roadbuster is an Autobot and Wrecker from the Aligned continuity family.
"Why don't I have a caption directly quoting me like the rest of the Wreckers?"

At first glance, Roadbuster seems a lot like his fellow Wrecker Twintwist. On the battlefield, he is always in the front ranks, leading his comrades into action. No one fights more furiously. Back at base, though, all that aggression goes away. Rather than arguing or roughhousing with the others, Roadbuster retreats into himself, becoming terse and restive. All his energy is redirected into the constant maintenance of his weapons and revision of his combat strategies. War is all Roadbuster knows, and seems to be all he has ever known. It is an open question what would become of him without it.

He combines with several of his fellow Wreckers to form Ruination.

  • Roadbuster (Deluxe, 2013)
Part of the fourth wave of 2012-onwards Generations Deluxe Class toys, Fall of Cybertron Roadbuster is a green and gunmetal redeco and retool of Fall of Cybertron Swindle, with a new head sculpt based on Generation 1 Roadbuster. He transforms into a large-wheeled SUV-like Cybertronian Assault Transport vehicle.
Roadbuster comes with a small gun, as well as a brand new weapon accessory based on the Energon Harvester shotgun from the Fall of Cybertron game, which opens and closes when its housing is slid. Both weapons can peg via 5mm post onto his hands and roof, and the small gun can either mount on to the peg hole on top of the Harvester or fit on the raised square mounting just behind the hole so as not to impede the Harvester's gimmick.
In addition to his robot and vehicle modes, Roadbuster can also combine with his fellow Wreckers into Ruination and serve as any of the gestalt robot's four limbs, though his official configuration is either the left arm (shown in the instructions) or the right arm (shown in stock photos.) Although intended to be Ruination's arm, Roadbuster actually fares poorly as an arm as opposed to a leg, due to the lack of anything to secure his robot mode's arms and his vehicle mode's hood in place while in arm mode. His arm mode has 5mm-compatible hands, and the small gun can be combined with the other Wreckers' weapons into a "phase cannon" for Ruination to wield.
Like Swindle, Roadbuster suffers from a design flaw: The small tabs used to attach the robot mode's chest section to the legs in vehicle or gestalt limb mode (using different slots for the tabs) are prone to showing stress marks, and eventually breaking.<ref name="tabs">"Bruticus, PSA: Be the F Careful" thread at The Allspark.</ref>
Roadbuster was redecoed as Timelines Fisitron and the original version of this mold was also used to make Generation 2 Swindle.
