Robo-pede

The world dubbed Blue Planet is home to giant robot centipedes, dubbed robo-pedes by Ironhide. These creatures possess huge jaws and segmented legs with knife-like claws at the end, but are blind and hunt by sound alone. They possess some sort of intelligence, though it's unclear exactly what level they operate at.

After the arrival of Duane Bowman and his squad on Blue Planet, four of the robo-pedes somehow managed to use a Cybertronian cylinder to transport themselves to a location near Earth. Traveling in metal spheres, they crashed on that world and were encountered by Optimus Prime, Ironhide, and Ratchet. The Autobots found them a formidable opponent, but managed to dispatch all four of them.

On Blue Planet, Bowman and his team were inadvertently saved from a pack of robotic wolves by one of the robo-pedes, which they themselves were able to evade by remaining extremely quiet. When Kevin Bowman was transported to that world, his arrival drew more of the robo-pedes, however he was able to use a cylinder to return himself and Duane's team to Earth before the creatures could reach them.
