With their Supreme Commander dead, can the Autobots snatch victory from the jaws of defeat?
Synopsis
[edit]Smiling upon his success at stealing the Matrix from his now dead rival Optimus Prime, Rebirth Megatron orders his troops back to base with the solitarium. Mirage can only process the shock at the events that unfolded before his eyes before rushing to his fallen leader's side. Battered from their fights with Decepticons across Earth, the other Autobot warriors rush to regroup and see the corpse of Prime. Optimus Primal is furious while Star Saber tries to calm his temper.
Lio Convoy, on the other hand, ponders about Megatron's plan at combining the Matrix with the solitarium energy. Hitting on an idea, Lio Convoy, Star Saber, and Optimus Primal place their hands on Optimus Prime's destroyed chest. Unleashing their own powers to invoke that of the Matrix's, light emanates from the commanders, enveloping Prime in a blanket of light. A cross of light forms on the immobile body, but the Autobots' attempt at reviving their dead leader is interrupted by solitarium-induced rumblings from the Decepticons. Having to prioritize stopping the Decepticons and hoping Prime's hidden power can emerge, the three leave R-Blade to keep watch over him and set out to confront their enemies.
Having expended their energies trying to resurrect Optimus Prime, Star Saber, Optimus Primal, and Lio Convoy are no match against the vicious duo of Rebirth Megatron and Beast Megatron. As Rebirth Megatron concentrates a blast of solitarium energy to finish off his opponents, a ball of light interrupts the Decepticon leader! It is Optimus Prime, reborn as Star Convoy! With the swordsmanship and justice of Star Saber, the power of Optimus Primal, and the speed of Lio Convoy, Star Convoy has attained power beyond that of solitarium. With a single swing of his sword, Star Convoy fells both Megatrons.
With the battles over solitarium over, the time-displaced warriors use the power of the mineral to open a rift in space and return to their proper times through it. All said and done, Star Convoy, R-Blade, and Mirage return to base.
