[edit]During a meeting at Roxxon Oil's Research and Development Plant in Portland, Oregon, Professor Morris tried to convince his bosses that the giant robots that had been rampaging around Oregon lately were not aliens or terrorist inventions, but the product of their rival company Blackrock Industries. Furthermore, he believed he was close to finding a way to wrench control over these robots away from Blackrock, but needed the finances to finish his research. None of his bosses believed so much as one iota of his crackpot theory, so his request was denied.
Coincidence would have that only a day later, Professor Morris found an unconscious Swoop in Lake Dena. Viewing the robot as way to get back at everyone, he hooked himself up to his neural relay link system and took control of Swoop. For five days he test ran the robot, finding everything going smoothly, when the tide turned. A security guard discovered Morris while he made use of Roxxon's facilities for his own purposes and, holding the professor at gunpoint, tried to extort him out of a large amount of money in return for his silence. However, Morris hadn't been the most stable of mind in the past days and he severely underestimated his robot's strength—one order to Swoop to strike the guard killed him.
Distraught but convinced he still had a job to finish regarding Blackrock's robots, Professor Morris ignored the dead guard to attack the robots at Mount St. Hilary. This caused Swoop to regain control of himself, and he returned to Morris's laboratory with the Autobots in tow. Professor Morris realized he had been wrong about the robots' nature and begged for forgiveness, vowing to turn himself in for the murder he had committed and destroy his neural relay link system. It is a possibility that one of Roxxon Oil's gas stations was among the places Octane held up for fuel. Manoeuvres!
Notes
[edit]- Roxxon Energy Corporation is a company from the Marvel Universe known for its unethical business practices. This didn't play much of a role in the company's The Transformers appearances, but just so you know.
