Saber-toothed cat
Saber-toothed cats are prehistoric predatory mammals named for their large, protruding canines. They are believed to have become extinct around 11,000 years ago.

As you made your way through the jungle, you encountered a saber-toothed cat and, if you were particularly unlucky, it ate you. Dinobot War

[edit]The Maximal Silverbolt and the Predacon Blackarachnia were united under an uneasy truce while separated from their allies and pursued by the renegade Tarantulas. When it became apparent that Tarantulas was no longer a threat, Blackarachnia prepared to break the truce by shooting Silverbolt in the back, but before she could fire she was attacked in turn by a saber-toothed cat. Ever the gallant hero, Silverbolt rescued her by knocking the cat (and himself) over the edge of a chasm. Bad Spark

- Grotusque's altmode resembles a saber-toothed cat with wings.
- Platinum Tiger is an anthropomorphic saber-toothed cat.
- Cheetor’s Transmetal 2 Beast mode features fangs similar to a saber-toothed cat, albeit smaller. Sort of making him a saber-toothed mechanical were-cheetah…thing. Yea, let’s go with that.
