Battle Beneath the Ice

When a mysterious underground city was discovered among the Erebus oil fields, General Scott was part of an expedition of military and scientists who flew down to Antarctica to investigate, along with the Autobot Hot Rod. Their plane was abruptly shot down not far from their destination, and Scott was one of a handful who survived the crash. Skeptical of Nyder's suggestion that the Russians were to blame, Scott asked Hot Rod who believed the Decepticons were behind the crash. The survivors were soon picked up by city-dwellers, who took them to the underground city.

When General Scott compared the city's nuclear generator to the US's nuclear power program, Nyder cautioned him not to reveal too much. The survivors were soon joined by Dr. Grey, who had been trying to reach the city, but as the tour went on, the group was approached by Ravage. Ravage revealed that the city-dwellers planned to conquer Earth, and to Scott's disgust, Nyder had turned traitor and struck a deal with them. Once the city-dwellers' plan had been foiled, Scott took the opportunity to express his disappointment with Nyder by punching the man out. Battle Beneath the Ice
