Wheeeeee!

The sharpshooter of the Deep Space Mini-Con Team, Scrap Iron specializes in floating in orbit and turning ground-based targets into little more than smoking holes in the firmament. He takes pride in his work, and looks forward to shooting more than just unmoving targets; he's eager to try out his skills on living, moving Mini-Cons in a much closer battlefield.

His massive firepower is very focused, and when boosted by the power of his teammates, makes the combined Umbral Blaster a deadly weapon.

[edit]

The Deep Space Mini-Con Team were among the insurgent Mini-Con army who forged an alliance with the Decepticons to eliminate the Mini-Con colony on one of Cybertron's moons. When a group of Autobots tried to stop them, Scrap Iron attacked Sentinel Maximus alongside his teammates, but the three Mini-Cons were no match for Maximus's digital maces. The team combined into the Umbral Blaster and fired on the Autobot, but only managed to graze their target. A short time later, Scrap Iron looked on in shock as Unicron betrayed the Mini-Cons and started killing them, and it's unknown if he survived the slaughter. Revelations Part 5

Gentlemen, start your space engines!
  • Scrap Iron vs Grindor (Mini-Con 2-pack, 2006)
  • Accessories: Missile
Released as part of the fourth (and final) wave of Cybertron Mini-Con 2-packs, Scrap Iron is a redeco of the Space Mini-Con Team member Astroscope, transforming into a space station with solar panels. In both modes, he has a spring-loaded missile launcher. He also forms the barrel of the Team's combined mode, the Umbral Blaster.
He was only available in a two-pack with Grindor. This wave did not ship widely or for very long, making the two teams in this wave particularly hard to find.
