Serge Lhorca (September 8, 1918 - January 13, 2012) was a French actor, who has been active on stage but especially in dubbing.

Serge Lhorca began dubbing after World War II, initially very often for Hispanic roles in western films (3 Godfathers, The Undefeated).

In animation, he was the first French voice of Speedy Gonzales in the Looney Tunes, but he was also the voice of Sherlock Hound in the eponymous series, Sam in the 1978 The Lord of the Rings film, Simon Wright in Captain Future, and he provided additional voices for many series like Masters of the Universe, The Care Bears, ThunderCats, or Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Notes

[edit]
  • Galvatron having around 7 different voice actors in seasons 3 and 4 of The Transformers, Serge Lhorca has been the most regular one.
  • In Dark Awakening, there was no woman present for the recording session. Consequently, Serge Lhorca, at almost 70 years old at the time, oddly voiced both Arcee and Daniel.
