Shin Ueda (上田信 Ueda Shin) is a Japanese illustrator with a storied career in Japanese sci-fi working on properties for all ages, though his true passion lies in military history. He has worked on franchises such as [[wikipedia:{{#if:|:}}Gundam|{{#if:||Gundam}}]], [[wikipedia:{{#if:|:}}Kamen Rider|{{#if:||Kamen Rider}}]], Devilman, [[wikipedia:{{#if:|:}}Armored Trooper Votoms|{{#if:||Armored Trooper Votoms}}]], and many more. In the world of the Transformers, he has created packaging art from before the beginning of the brand in the pre-Transformer Diaclone toyline all the way up through the twilight of the Generation 1 franchise in Japan with Return of Convoy.
