Shoomer

The Shoomer is another great weapon from the Lost Light's resident genius. Whirl named it for the distinctive sound it makes when discharging (See what he did there?) and really really likes it, especially because it still has that "new gun" smell.

2005 IDW continuity

The day after Brainstorm invented it, Whirl took the Shoomer on a mission to Temptoria for a battle against some occupying Decepticons. When Swerve's gun ran out, he asked Whirl for a spare. Whirl threw him the Shoomer, knocking the smaller Autobot flat, and while Swerve was struggling to get a grip on the weapon, it accidentally discharged into his face. Fortunately for Swerve, it wasn't fatal. Before & After
