Sidetrack (Zone)

Sidetrack is an Autobot Micromaster from the Zone portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

Sidetrack (サイドトラック Saidotorakku) is a member of the Battle Patrol Team.

When Victory Saber initiated the "Zone Project", the Battle Patrol Team helped rebuild planet Micro into planet Zone. To counter this threat, Violengiguar began conquering planets in order to create his own Decepticon Zone. The Race Car Patrol and all other Micromaster teams were then sent on patrol across the galaxy, specifically to planets where their unique skills could do the most good. Zone Part 1

When Bruticus attacked the planet Feminia, the Battle Patrol Team were among several units of Micromasters deployed to stop him. Through teamwork, they proved triumphant. Zone Part 2

During the attack of the Nine Great Demon Generals on the Planet Zone Base, Sidetrack could be seen firing his missiles at Overlord, who showed little reaction to this other than an amused laughter. So, despite Sidetrack's effort, the Demon Generals succeeded in capturing the Energon Z energy source. As they retreated, Sidetrack and his comrades of the Battle Patrol Team boarded Moonradar's rocket to chase after them and pursued them to Earth. There, the Battle Patrol Team among other Microtransformers faced off against Trypticon and Predaking, only to find themselves again at the receiving end of the beating. Luckily, Sonic Bomber and Dai Atlas arrived just in time and saved the day.

Later on, Sidetrack could be seen amongst the crowd cheering and applauding to the newly appointed Autobot Supreme Commander, Dai Atlas. Enter the New Supreme Commander, Dai Atlas! Transformers: Zone

When the Powered Masters flew off to the Tenth Planet for their showdown with Violengiguar, all the Micromaster teams took command of Zone and vowed to keep it safe in their Commander's absence. Zone Part 10

In 2038, Sidetrack was on Zone when it was invaded by the forces of Violengiguar and Dark Nova. Along with a number of fellow Micromasters, he swarmed the possessed body of Dai Atlas, distracting the Decepticon spirit inside until heavier weaponry could be brought to the battlefield. Released in the Zone portion of Takara's Fight! Super Robot Lifeform Transformers toyline, Sidetrack is a redeco of the Hasbro-release Micromaster Sidetrack, transforming into a Roland anti-aircraft missile launcher mounted on a Marder IFV hull. Early releases of the Team had yellow plastic parts (including Sidetrack's twin cannons) for some inexplicable reason, but these were changed to dark gray in later releases (including the later Return of Convoy release).
Sidetrack is gang-molded with his teammate Gunlift, thus the two toys share the same plastic colors.
He was only available in a Battle Patrol Team four-pack along with his teammates Gunlift, Sunrunner, and Powerbomb.

The Battle Patrol Team were one of three Zone Teams to be re-released during Return of Convoy. This release uses the dark-gray plastic.
For this release, however, a Micro Trailer was added to the set to make them line up with the other Micro Teams in the line.
