Transformers in Singapore

Just because Singapore was smaller country doesn't stop it from having an impact on the franchise.

One of the earliest known contributions the country made is being the place where the infamous the English dubs of Japanese Generation 1 cartoons blew up, earning them the nickname of the Singapore dub.

Beyond that, several notable events took place on the humble little country's shores:

The first Transformers: The Ride - 3D Attraction opened at the local Universal Studios on 3 December 2011.
Cybertron Con 2012 took place at Resorts World Sentosa, a casino resort set off shore and a stones throw away from the aforementioned Universal Studios, and to date, the only place outside of China to do so.
It was the final stop of the Transformers 30th Anniversary Exhibition, which was held at the Annexe of the Science Center from late 2014 to early 2015.
After a decade of mostly nothing outside of the occasional toy showing up early, the world premiere of Transformers: Rise of the Beasts was held at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore on 27 May 2023 (which also had a casino, funnikg enough), and later that year the local comic con held there had the Cybertron Fest event within its grounds to celebrate the brand's 40th birthday.

Notes

In the above IDW comic story, the Republic of Singapore being depicted on the night of a crescent moon is especially fitting considering the [[wikipedia:{{#if:|:}}Flag of Singapore|{{#if:Singaporean flag|Singaporean flag|Flag of Singapore}}]] features one, albeit as a waxing crescent in the comic in contrast to the waning crescent on the flag.
