Space Astronomy Research Center
- The Space Astronomy Research Center is a scientific establishment from the Japanese cartoon portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.
Located on a mountain in Japan, the Space Astronomy Research Center (宇宙天文研究所 Uchū Tenmon Kenkyūjo) is run by Professor Gō. Searching for extraterrestrial life is probably not one of its remits, since Metalhawk, a giant robot from another planet, works there in his human Pretender shell.

[edit]It was at the research center that Hawk revealed to Shūta Gō his true nature as an Autobot. Although Shūta didn't believe him at first, when Metalhawk transformed into a giant robot to go and battle the Decepticons in a nearby city, it pretty much clinched it. Rise Up!! Pretenders While most of the Autobots were engaged in an operation in the Karin Islands, Blood led an attack on the center and only Lander was on-hand to defend the base. The Decepticon was able to destroy the center, killing Professor Gō in the process. Gō lived long enough for the Autobots to find him in the rubble of the Center, and he was able to pass on the key to the new Autobot base he'd designed. Terror! The Decepticons' Manhunt
