Sparksayer

An ancient device, the Sparksayer scans the spark of a Cybertronian and bestows upon them an appropriate tool which they can then activate and utilize at will. Tools granted by the Sparksayer are specific to the Cybertronian they're meant for. The technology that makes this possible has been lost to time, such that it now seems like magic to modern Cybertronians.

The Sparksayer originated in the time of the Primes. At some point the Sparksayer was placed in a vault. Power Up And Energize The vault ended up in a crashed spaceship on Earth where it was recovered by Hoist, Grimlock, Sludge and Snarl Mission Dinobot and was eventually opened to reveal the Sparksayer and four Mul-T-Cogs. Once Ratchet and Perceptor successfully identified the Sparksayer, Optimus Prime okayed the five Rescue Bot recruits to be the first to use it. It granted Hoist a plasma cutter, Medix a magnetic power projector, Whirl a polyvisor, Wedge an auger, and Hot Shot a combicannon. Dissatisfied with his tool, Hot Shot attempted to trade with Wedge, only for the pair to discover they were unable to activate the tools. Power Up And Energize
