Spike's affair is a human from the 2005 IDW portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

Spike's affair is a young woman who lives in a nice house in a suburb of Albuquerque, New Mexico and might be a lobbyist. She is one of several affairs of Spike Witwicky, who keeps her a secret from everyone else and sometimes spends, ahem, "quality time" with her instead of doing his job. She owns a dog and likes wearing scanty clothes while standing in her doorway or even being out in the street.

"Yeah, baby! *snigger* Of course you're the only one for me. *pfft*"

When Skywatch contacted Spike after attempting to reach him for seven hours, he took the call while leaving his affair's home in Albuquerque. She watched him walk back to his car (in actuality the Decepticon Breakdown) as he bravely ignored the question of where he was while his men were fighting off giant robots. The need to return to base (for the interrogation of Optimus Prime) gave him the perfect excuse for leaving without saying goodbye. New Arrivals, Old Encounters

After a particularly stressful sequence of events, Spike took a leave of absence of 36 hours from his partnership with the Autobots. Although he did use some of that time to do some explaining to his superiors about the situation at hand, he also took the liberty of visiting his affair. As Spike was saying goodbye to her, he was attacked by Breakdown. A police car and Spike took off after the Decepticon, though Spike was sure to order his affair to "get back inside" before he left. Notes

[edit]
  • Since Spike's affair(s) is/are never given a name, it's not entirely clear if the women seen in issues #2 and #25 are indeed supposed to be the same person. In "Police Action: Part 1", Prowl explicitly points out that Spike has at least two more "human relations" like this one "stashed away" in Albuquerque, with one of the three being a lobbyist, which would presumably be referring to the woman shown on-panel based on the sequential listing given by Prowl. Considering they both have a very similar hairstyle, it appears that they're supposed to be the same person, drawn by different artists (Don Figueroa and Brendan Cahill). And even if they are supposed to be different people, they both exist only for one purpose in-story and have no actual personality whatsoever, so there'd be no point in keeping them on separate pages either way.
  • The fact that her dog has joined her in the doorway to mournfully watch Spike leave really adds something to the scene. We're not sure what, but it's something. On the upside, it appears she's not just a one-night stand for Spike, so… yay?
  • Even though the location of her home is identified as "3453 N. Mouno Avenue" in "Police Action: Part 1", the very next panel on the same page shows the number "783" on the door of her house.
