Springer is an evil Autobot from the IDW portion of the Shattered Glass continuity family.

Springer is a member of the Wreckers.

In the past, Springer was part of the Wreckers unit assembled by Ultra Magnus. He served under the beck and call of his leader, witnessing silently when Ultra Magnus was forced to intercede between a confrontation between Senator Shockwave and fellow Wrecker Impactor. Shattered Glass II #1

In the present day, Springer was part of the Bodyscrapper unit whom Blurr outpaced in his own pursuit of Sixshot. Shattered Glass #1

He was later part of the group called on by Slicer to lash Jetfire to the ground. Shatted Glass II #3 He attempted to attack Soundwave in the subsequent confrontation, ramming onto him in his car mode. However, a sonic attack by Soundwave hit him as he was converting to robot mode and left him spasming, trapped mid-transformation. Springer recovered to attempt to attack Soundwave again, but was shot in the face by Slicer, seemingly being killed in the process. Shattered Glass II #5
