Square Enix Co., Ltd. (株式会社スクウェア・エニックス Kabushiki gaisha Sukuwea Enikkusu)is a Japanese multinational video game developer and publisher founded in 2003, following the merger of [[wikipedia:{{#if:|:}}Square (video game company)|{{#if:Square|Square|Square (video game company)}}]] and [[wikipedia:{{#if:|:}}Enix|{{#if:||Enix}}]]. The company is best known for its role-playing video games, with its predecessors having created some of the most influential RPG series of all time, including Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, and Kingdom Hearts. The company also publishes manga titles such as Fullmetal Alchemist and Soul Eater through their [[wikipedia:{{#if:|:}}Gangan Comics|{{#if:||Gangan Comics}}]] imprint.

[edit]- The Critically Acclaimed MMORPG [[wikipedia:{{#if:|:}}Final Fantasy XIV|{{#if:||Final Fantasy XIV}}]] With An Expanded Free Trial features a sneaky Bruticus homage in the form of a raid boss named Brute Justice that is formed from five robots combining with each other. The robots are even named after the Combaticons with the suffix "-er" added to the ends of their names (i.e. Onslaughter, Blaster, Vortexer, etc.).
- In 2012, Square Enix tried their hand in the genre of transforming car robots with [[wikipedia:{{#if:|:}}Chōsoku Henkei Gyrozetter|{{#if:||Chōsoku Henkei Gyrozetter}}]].
