Steelgrave is a Predacon from the Beast Era of the Generation 1 continuity family.
I am your de-entist.

Steelgrave is a little-known Predacon commander. It is something of a mystery how he has remained so obscure, however, because beneath his formal, pretentious exterior flickers a spark as sadistic and loathsome as any imaginable. Although he transforms into some kind of tanklike vehicle, it is his robot mode in which he can best make use of the giant saw embedded in his chest and the array of torture devices in his hands and arms.

The Razor's Edge

[edit]

Flamewar, disguising herself as Megatron, used Steelgrave to form a Predacon force to take over the J'kozian sector. The force eventually settled on the planet Nibari, where they occupied the city Ro'kar and used a native-made factory to produce an army of drones.

Later, while Wing Saber was investigating Predacon activity at an unspecified location, she was kidnapped and tied up to be tortured by Steelgrave. The wily Maximal managed to escape by tricking Bolar and Sawtooth into fighting Steelgrave.

The two met later when Wing Saber was sent on a mission to Nibari. The Maximal used a hologram disguise to pass as a Predacon bartender and used poisoned drinks to knock out Steelgrave and his Predacon entourage. With this, Wind Saber, Stiletto, and Crossblades infiltrated the factory. For his failure, he was knocked down a few ranks, but he still accompanied "Megatron", reporting on the Nibarian factory's progress and accompanying him to his combat with the three Maximals. Steelgrave was likely killed when the Predacons' drones were turned on them. The Razor's Edge

Notes

[edit]
  • Steelgrave's name and physical description (although not his visual portrayal) are based on Slaughter Steelgrave, the leader of the evil Destructors in the 1980s Tomy toyline Starriors.
