[edit]

Steve was assigned by Starscream along with fellow Vehicons XL-917 and XL-571 to construct an energon mine near the Sierra Ridge mountains. When the promised miners never turned up, the trio simply continued working until Steeljaw eventually stumbled on their operation. Steeljaw managed to convince Steve and the others that he was part of Megatron's army and began a new scheme with their help. While the other two Vehicons provided a distraction to draw the Autobots away, Steve helped Steeljaw capture Fixit and Russell Clay Robots in Disguise #5 and free the rest of Steeljaw's team.

The combined group set about mining the energon until Bumblebee's team arrived, precipitating a battle. Steve, however, revealed the bomb which Starscream had left them as a backup plan. Steve grappled with Bumblebee, however when Optimus Prime arrived to inform the Vehicon trio that the war was over and Steeljaw was not under Starscream's command, Steve threw the bomb, bringing the mountain down on Steeljaw's men. The three Vehicons turned down Optimus's offer of peace in favor of going back into hiding to await Megatron's return. Robots in Disguise #6

Notes

[edit]
  • "Steve the Vehicon" (sometimes written as ST3V3) was a running joke among the fandom during the Prime cartoon; this humorous nickname was usually given to particularly unlucky Vehicons across various episodes, treating them as if they were the same Vehicon.
