Steve Guymo was working on an airplane when a talking jet rolled up, and Bombshell stung him. The next thing he knew, he was lying by the side of an Arizona road in 106 degree heat, and was picked up by Jazz. Waking up in the Autobot base, Steve first assumed he'd died and gone to heaven, though he wasn't sure why heaven was filled with giant robots. Once Optimus Prime had filled him in, Steve related the story of how he came to be in the desert, and the Autobots realized that the Decepticons must have been behind the plane-loads of people disappearing. They located the missing humans in an abandoned warehouse, and while the Autobots dealt with Rumble and the other Decepticons who turned up, Steve guided the abductees to safety. Later at the Autobot base, Steve was personally commended by Optimus Prime, though he just felt sorry for Starscream, who'd been unable to transform during the earlier fight. Sun Raid (Listen 'n Play)
