Stinger Tail
The firing Stinger Tail is a weapon accessible to Aximili-Esgarrouth-Isthill when he is in his scorpion morph. Though presumably organic in nature, it is a mystery what the inner-workings of this weapon are, seeing as scorpions do not normally have the ability to fire their stingers as projectiles. They're terrifying enough without said feature, to be honest.

- Ax transforms from an Andalite (sort of an alien centaur-thing) into a scorpion. In scorpion mode his tail fires missiles. Unlike the human Animorph toys, it has no transitional third mode. He features a firing "Stinger Tail," a spring-loaded projectile only accessible in his scorpion form.

[edit]- Ax is far from the only character with access to a scorpion's tail that fires projectile. Though no other character to date has ever referred to such weaponry as a firing "Stinger Tail," the Predacon Scorponok demonstrates that his beast mode's stinger has a long-range weapon during the events of "Other Voices, Part 1". And though his alternate mode is just a vehicle heavily stylized to resemble a scorpion, the Terrorcon Scorponok possesses guns at the tip of his "tail".
- While in his stingray morph, Ax's fellow Animorph Jake also possesses a "stinger tail", though it is of the non-firing kind.
