The Stupid Drones are bizarre creatures from the Age of Extinction portion of the movie continuity family.

The Stupid Drones are some of the many inhabitants of Lockdown's ship. Unlike their Steeljaw and Shadow Raider comrades, the Stupid Drones don't exactly seem suited for combat, and instead spend most of their time lurking around the ship's waste disposal chambers. They come both with and without a large, back-mounted claw.

A pair of clawed Stupid Drones were the first creatures that Tessa Yeager encountered when she arrived aboard Lockdown's ship. The two beings exchanged glances before the Stupid Drones became aggressive; Tessa managed to fend them off with a nearby pipe before she fled. Later, several rifle-wielding Stupid Drones, along with a few Shadow Raiders, engaged Cade Yeager and Shane Dyson in a brief fire fight, but fled in terror after the Shadow Raiders were killed by the two humans. Not so stupid now, huh?

• Concept art for the claw-less Stupid Drone depicts it wielding an electrified bullwhip, which did not make it into the final film. It's perhaps best not to think about what exactly they would have been doing with these whips.
