In Aurex 1104.30-DB Zeta (a highly Primax-influenced universe), Superion was born from Dr. Brian Jones's attempts at reverse-engineering Maximus combiner technology and applying it to Mini-Con anatomy. Superion, Defensor, and Rail Racer fought Devastator in the Combiner Wars during the Unicron Singularity crisis. Ask Vector Prime, 2015/07/31

A redeco of Sixwing, Superion was only available by purchasing all six individually-carded Micromaster Aerialbots. When the six Micromasters are not combined, the remaining kibble can form an odd tech-jet a single Micromaster can pilot.
Though the Aerialbots were apparently originally slated as KB Toys exclusives, they barely showed up in the ever-shrinking chain. They saw more general release in Europe, and in the States, finally began showing up in other chains like CVS drugstores and Big Lots!.
Superion is one of the few later Transformers to suffer from Gold Plastic Syndrome, which afflicts his upper legs component and his rifle. The various pegs on the legs section are most apt to fail first.

Cybertron

[edit]
In Europe, Superion was released under the Cybertron brand instead, with different packaging and instructions.
