Switchblade is a Decepticon from the Marvel UK portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.
"That's another fine mess you've gotten us into!"

Switchblade has a subtle way of telling people not to get too close—he's covered the exterior of his body with jagged metal-rending spines. Despite this prickly exterior, Switchblade has forged a close bond with his partner Ripsnorter, creating a devastating battlefield combo.

Switchblade carries a thermo-laser blaster magnetically clamped to his left thigh.

Switchblade appeared exclusively in the UK portion of the Marvel Comics continuity.

Prior to the Ark's launch, Switchblade was assigned to Fort Scyk.

He and his unit were sent by their Duty Sergeant to attack a Neutralist holdout in the nearby town of Yuss. They were ambushed by an Autobot infiltration unit.

Switchblade was struck from behind with an incendiary missile. The explosion (combined with his flying spines) destroyed his partner Ripsnorter as well. The Magnificent Six!

2005 IDW continuity

Switchblade appeared in a fictional scenario projected into the mind of a dying Sideswipe through a mnemopathis projector. He and other Decepticons were depicted as helping with relief efforts on post-war Cybertron, and though Sideswipe initially believed they were smuggling energon and attacked them, he soon realized their actions were actually embodying the peace he had fought for.
