Ironhide flees a GOA base with stolen data, but a Decepticon enforcer cuts the celebrations short.
Synopsis
[edit]After stealing top-secret information from a Global Order Authority bunker base during Operation: Dusk Dive, Ironhide is spotted by the base's guards fleeing Area C05 and as a result, they sound the alarm. Ironhide tries to contact Jones to inform him that the mission has been completed, but is unable to get through. After asking what is wrong, Oracle Gamma informs him that their radio signals are being jammed. The base's soldiers mobilize, and a rooftop guard opens fire on Ironhide as he drives by. Just as he reaches the exit, Oracle warns him of incoming missiles, which he narrowly avoids.
Using the cover of the dust cloud created by the explosion from the missiles, Ironhide transforms and begins returning fire on the base with his LW6 Thundersteeler gatling gun. Oracle reminds the Autobot that humans are a lot more fragile than Transformers, telling him to only fire warning shots, to which Ironhide obliges. Ironhide then creates a large smokescreen by blowing up a cluster of explosive barrels by the base's walls. Just after this, Jones finally manages to contact Ironhide, ordering him to transform back into vehicle mode immediately. However, Ironhide assures him that no one can see him. Jones then informs him that they have received information about the energy plan and could now report it to Optimus. As Ironhide congratulates him, Oracle warns the Autobot about an incoming flying object as two missiles rain from the sky and strike the base.
Ironhide quickly turns around and spots a GOA attack helicopter descending over the desert mountains. Jones warns him that the aircraft is not on their side and urges him to flee, but Ironhide stands there and asks Oracle to identify the threat. Oracle speculates that it is Blackout, one of the Decepticons hiding within the GOA. As Ironhide is surprised to learn it is a Transformer, Blackout reveals himself, transforming and using the rotors on his back to slow his descent. After Blackout touches down, Oracle warns Ironhide that the Decepticon can OVERGEAR.
Blackout announces that he is here to retrieve the classified information that the Autobot stole. Ironhide decides that he has no choice but to fight, drawing his submachine gun and knife before charging at the Decepticon. Blackout uses the thrusters in his legs to charge right back at the Autobot, the two warriors clashing mid-air.
