"A Bathing Ape is short for "A Bathing Ape In Lukewarm Water" and is not a reference to an unmade Beast Wars episode in which Optimus Primal takes a bath." Well, what is it a reference to? The full version makes no more sense to me than the shorter one. --Khajidha (talk) 11:09, 3 January 2022 (EST)
- From the company's Wikipedia page: "Japanese people typically have daily baths in water at temperatures above 40 °C (104 °F). As such, to bathe in lukewarm water is to complacently overindulge as it implies you have stayed in the bath for so long the water has become cold. This is an ironic reference to the lazy opulence of the younger generation of Japanese, the brand's own customers." -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 11:19, 3 January 2022 (EST)
