Talk:Alpha Quintesson
Doug Dlin translated Takara's official Micron Trilogy timeline. Alpha Q's original home planet IS named Quintessa. Unicron attacked it in 2003 after escaping the Unicron Battles incident. Unicron ended up in an alternate dimension and devoured Quintessa's entire universe before turning on Planet Q. Unicron's damage due to Quintessa's explosion sent him back into 'this' universe, at the very edge of the universe, and he fell into stasis.
So yah, the dub was actually correct.
- Now, what I want to do here is break into a peal of insane laughter that conveys the phrase "I was fucking right all along, yo," but before that - where might this translation be at? - Chris McFeely 19:08, 17 March 2007 (UTC)
Of Graves and the Rising Therefrom
[edit]So is Alpha Q a Quintesson or not? If he is, could someone who actually grasps UT please note that on both pages? --Thylacine 2000 16:23, 28 September 2010 (EDT)
Hey Guys, feel free to add more information if you see fit. I'm not completely familiar with the Energon comic version, but I listed what I knew. --Bodycount
Does Trevor Devall do all of Alpha-Q's voices? --Ratbat 08:39, 7 August 2006 (UTC)
Wasn't his name Alpha-Q on Energon too? I seem to recall it was.--Octopus Prime- King of the Road! 21:08, 6 September 2006 (UTC)
- In the show, I guess; ain't what it said on the box. "Alpha Q" is also... pretty retarded. Singularity 21:23, 6 September 2006 (UTC)
- I believe they tended to call him by his full name on the show, because when you say "Alpha Q" aloud, well... - Dark T Zeratul 23:56, 6 September 2006 (UTC)
- Oh the pain of that caption pun. It must stay for ever and always.--Autobus Prime 20:21, 9 January 2007 (UTC)
- I want to know where he got the packaging art from. The Energon basics really need bio pics, particularly the combiner limbs. --FFN 20:23, 9 January 2007 (UTC)

Name
[edit]Why is the article at "Alpha Quintesson", when the most prominent piece of fiction has the character's name as "Alpha Q"? —Interrobang 20:51, 24 September 2009 (EDT)
- Look at the first section of this page. And if you don't get it... "Alpha Q" can sound like...something rude. 156.3.149.15 10:51, 4 November 2009 (EST)
- Yes, thank you for pointing out the obvious, anon. —Interrobang 11:30, 4 November 2009 (EST)
- I don't think we go solely by "most prominent piece of fiction" when naming our articles. We do select fiction names over toy-only names, but considering he's "Alpha Quintesson" in both toy form AND the Dreamwave comics, AND since that's just an unabbreviated version of his cartoon name, I think Alpha Quintesson is the best choice. --ItsWalky 13:17, 4 November 2009 (EST)
- I find myself really wanting to put a "Hey, Alpha U, buddy!" or similar caption. -hx at work.
- I'm also fairly sure that he was called "Alpha Quintesson" a few times in the Energon cartoon as well. Rob, confirm or deny? - Chris McFeely 17:31, 4 November 2009 (EST)
- In the re-dubbed first episode, he was. --MissRatbat (talk) 09:15, 20 May 2015 (EDT)
