Talk:Antares

Interesting(?) note: nearly every transcript of Nautilator's club bio online drops the line from his tech spec that includes the part about Antares:
- His new upgraded / "Coral Cannon" TARGETMASTER mode fires bolts of parasitic / Antaresian coral that encase foes in energon-draining / crystaline growths.
The resulting sentence still makes sense. Also, this implies that virtually nobody (except this guy bothers to look up the card himself rather than just copy it from, say, tfu.info. -LV 10:32, 19 April 2011 (EDT)
- This is exactly why I make a point of linking to scans of bios when they exist. Some people apparently don't like this - I just today discovered that a link to Skram's bio had been intentionally deleted for some reason, I assume because the editor thought the standard TFU.info link was good enough. But I say if there's source material out there, we ought to be directing folks to it by default, so other sites' transcription errors are never an issue. - Jackpot 11:18, 19 April 2011 (EDT)
- Wha? I'll never trust TFU.info again. - Starfield 11:35, 19 April 2011 (EDT)
- Sometimes I really miss the Hartman's Tech Pec Archive. Such a great resource to loose. Not that TFU isn't usually great.--76.28.76.206 12:18, 19 April 2011 (EDT)
- I think everything that was in the archive is on BotchTheCrab.com now. Plus there's TFTechSpecs.com, which I just recently discovered and seems to have way more than the Hartmans ever did - all the old stuff plus lots of modern content. What I haven't seen anywhere is a repository for all the packaging blurbs and whatnot - things that aren't bios or Tech Specs but still have fiction content. Seibertron.com has some good stuff along those lines, but it's piecemeal and very spread out over their toy section. - Jackpot 00:53, 21 April 2011 (EDT)

My brain is hurting from the wrongness of "Antaresian". It should be "Antarean", but I guess we're stuck with Antaresian as canon. --Khajidha 12:10, 19 April 2011 (EDT)
- It IS a fictional universe. There could be a world named "Antaresa". —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 76.28.76.206 (talk • contribs).
- I think it's best to assume a real-world reference first, absent any other evidence. Honestly, conjugation has never been the TFCC writers' strong point... I vaguely recall a recent issue of the magazine trying to pluralize "quartex," but it came out weird - it was neither "quartexes" nor "quartices". "Quarteces," I think. - Jackpot 00:53, 21 April 2011 (EDT)
