Where does his name come from?--210.56.88.57 05:26, 19 January 2012 (EST)
- Cybertron.
- Thanks, really helpful. What I mean is, obviously the Ape part is because he's a Gorilla but what about linq? Is there any meaning behind it or is it just like the x on the end of Rhinox?--210.56.88.176 09:22, 19 January 2012 (EST)
- I'd assume it's "link," which is a generally kind of computery word (see: Hyperlinq, which is a pun on these things), spelled with a q to make it look kewl. I don't think there's ever been any official word though. --Andrusi 09:39, 19 January 2012 (EST)
- IIRC, there was some untold backstory where his name was originally Uplin(k/q), then he became Apelinq, and then eventually Hyperlinq. If I'm wrong about the backstory, then I think maybe his name was just a pun on "uplink", and also his weapon is the Transfer Interlink. --Monzo 09:45, 19 January 2012 (EST)
- No, you're right. When Apelinq was first introduced, Glen Hallit told the crowd that they could probably guess what his name used to be before he changed into an ape body. (Uplinq, of course.) --ItsWalky 09:57, 19 January 2012 (EST)
- Thanks for the help guys :)--210.56.88.176 10:27, 19 January 2012 (EST)

For some reason thought it was a play on Abraham Linclon. Like, Abe Lincoln > Ape Lincoln > ApeLinc > Apelinq. I... don't know why I thought this. --KilMichaelMcC 11:42, 19 January 2012 (EST)

Beast Machines Maximal?
[edit]Should Apelinq have a Beast Machines Maximal symbol in his faction insignias at the top of the page? If so, does it matter what order the insignias are in? -Foffy the Sheep (talk) 23:17, 28 December 2015 (EST)
Hello? -Foffy the Sheep (talk) 08:06, 29 December 2015 (EST)
- [1] And can you please stop getting upset when you don't get immediate answers? Saix (talk) 09:27, 29 December 2015 (EST)
- I wasn't upset, I was just making sure the talk page showed up in recent changes, because I had, for some reason, decided that late at night (for me) when few people are on the wiki was the best time to bring this up. (That's a criticism of me, not anyone else.) But, yeah, I should probably try to be more patient. Thanks for fixing the problem and answering my question. -Foffy the Sheep (talk) 10:05, 29 December 2015 (EST)
