Battletrap's 'Death' in Time Wars
[edit]Does it really count as a death if he reappears later? Its more likely that the attack from Galvatron wasn't fatal to him and that he just took a while to recover. 84.71.227.54 14:36, 20 July 2009 (EDT)
This has always bugged me, but I always figured Battletrap showing up again but Flywheels *not* being present in Marvel US/G2/RG1 was a result of Furman forgetting which Duocon he killed in Time Wars, since Flywheels didn't expressly die there (though I know some fans argue one block-coloured corpse is his) but Battletrap definitely did. Sure, Battletrap could be alive (again) simply because Furman decided not to honour past UK continuity from pretty much "Two Megatrons" onward, but if that's the case then why is Flywheels absent? It's not like Hasbro would want one Duocon showcased over the other (or indeed, at all by that point). On the other hand, Furman gave Flywheels actual characterisation in the "Flame" story arc, so one would think he'd remember which Duocon was which! The more mundane explanation is that Battletrap has a Universe profile and Flywheels doesn't, and Furman picked characters only from that when adding new members to the cast in his US work.
