Tales

[edit]

Do we know yet whether the Tales will continue for all Revealer/Powerizer-class releases, or are they set to end at 12? Any word on whether they'll appear on the Weaponizer/Ultimate-class releases?KrytenKoro 13:28, 25 February 2013 (EST)

No known ending yet, and the instructions for the Ultimate and (possible) Weaponizer toys haven't been released yet for us to know if they contain chapters. I only added the twelfth chapter because Shockwave's story (chapter 11) continues into Skystalker's story (chapter 12). Inkblot 20:03, 25 February 2013 (EST)
Well, if Skystalker has one it'll at least continue through to 14 in the rest of that Deluxe wave. If I had to make an educated guess, I'd posit that the Ultimate toys will have the last two chapters, so as to avoid trying to incorporate whatever random shmucks end up as tail-end Deluxe/Voyager releases into a big conclusion. Comic

[edit]

Should the page for the comic have a disambig tag on it? Like "Transformers Prime: Beast Hunters (comic)"? I'm only asking because this page isn't named "Transformers Prime: Beast Hunters", it's just "Beast Hunters" so I got a little confused. -- spyderUse this! 09:33, 2 March 2013 (EST)

Split/merge and Weapons

[edit]

Two questions:

 1. The toyline information has already been merged into the larger Transformers Prime page. Is there a point to keeping a copy of it here, or would this page be better served by being some kind of "expanded disambig" to the toyline (on Prime toyline page), cartoon (on Prime cartoon page), Tales (on its own page), and comic series (on its own page)?
 2. Should there be a page discussing the concept of the beast weapons? They're a significant plot element in the Tales and the main gimmick of the toyline for returning characters. It's also the best place I can think of to cover the reuse of weapons among the Cyberverse figures (there's only Bow, Hammer, and Saw/Bolter), which look to be combinable a la Arms Micron, something that isn't yet mentioned on any page that I can find probably because it's an undocumented feature.

Thoughts?KrytenKoro 10:42, 20 March 2013 (EDT)

I like the idea of making pages for each of the "main" Beast Hunters weapons, what with the instruction sheets featuring several facts about the weapon. I also prefer keeping the extensive toyline information on this page, with the "Beast Hunters" section of the main toyline page pointing to this article. The BH toy information on the main toyline page could be removed, or be replaced with a simplified list that lacks the chapter links and accessories. Inkblot 11:23, 20 March 2013 (EDT)
I started a draft at Toxic Strike Blaster. I'm not sure what to do about the Cyberverse weapons, there's no fiction on them.KrytenKoro 21:59, 20 March 2013 (EDT)
I don't think we make articles on named weapons unless details on them are given. In the case of the Cyberverse toys, Optimus Prime's Star Saber is already filled in, and I think only Bumblebee, Starscream, and Shockwave's weapons need articles, due to the all three having weapon descriptions on the instructions of their larger toys, and due to Shockwave's weapon also appearing in the cartoon. Weapon reuses/renames/redecos are usually mentioned in the toy's article. ("The bow, under a different name, was also used by Airachnid. It was also redecoed as This Guy's and That Guy's weapons, and was also used to make the Weapon With Actual Fiction of The Other Guy.") Inkblot 07:00, 21 March 2013 (EDT)
Well, that negates my need to make a draft for the Bow/Saw/Hammer weapons. I'll do a run through of "also used with" later if no one else does--although I don't think they were actually redecoed at all.
Hypothetical question now: if, as I suspect, the Target Abominus combines the two hammers, two bows, and saw and gives that weapon some fiction, how would we address the reuses?
Also, I'm not planning on buying any of the beastified Autobots or Decepticons unless they actually appear in the show, so unless there are instructions scans somewhere I'll not be able to add any more articles.KrytenKoro 14:06, 21 March 2013 (EDT)

Beast Hunters, etc.

[edit]

I think this should be disambigged to "Beast Hunters (toyline)", both because of the show and the term (along with "Beast Wars", "Beast Machines", and "Beast Gear"), and then we create a "Beast Hunters (Prime)" page for the term.

Also, as far as I can tell, Predacons Rising would be considered a subline imprint and should be on another page (with the (Prime) and (Animated) articles having their disambigs adjusted to link to it). I've gone ahead and started the page, so can one of the veterans please confirm that I'm doing the right thing?KrytenKoro 16:59, 6 June 2013 (EDT)

So, should Predacons Rising be separate or not?KrytenKoro 10:28, 5 July 2013 (EDT)
