Just being in Trypticon prison doesn't mean for sure that Beta was a Decepticon. Beta could have been an Autobot who did something wrong or, knowing Animated, an Autobot who was framed and imprisoned on trumped up charges. It might be better to say that Beta was a prisoner of unknown faction.

Actually according to the allspark almanac addenum, only decepticon prisoners are there, so someone should change it (184.56.30.163 17:40, 20 February 2012 (EST))
