Better mainpic caption

[edit]

Someone think of one. I recall some probably long-lost interview with Furman where he stated that McDonough and Patyk were the ones to suggest using Bugly in the Chaos Trinity (Furman wanted it to be Stranglehold and Octopunch along with Bludgeon, but Mindwipe and Bugly were suggested as better fits because of their mystical ties). So it's not like that current caption fits like a glove. --Nu-Priest 22:05, 2 December 2011 (EST)

Venin

[edit]

Given that all of the other partners released with the Generations Cyberverse figures have been previously existing G1 characters (some with different names), is it safe to assume that Acid Strom's partner can be considered Bugly? At least until further information comes along. I can't imagine who else Venin could be.Riddlerj (talk) 14:08, 6 March 2014 (EST)

Venom? --Khajidha (talk) 14:40, 6 March 2014 (EST)
I'm going by the color scheme. Venom seemed like the obvious choice to me but he look like he matches him at all.Riddlerj (talk) 14:42, 6 March 2014 (EST)
I'm going by the facts that 1)Venom's usual color scheme would be hard to distinguish from Waspinator's in this size toy, 2)Venin is the French translation of the word Venom and 3)The root "venin" also occurs in the English word "antivenin", a treatment for VENOMous bites and stings. To me, the color scheme seems much more superficial than the name. I am, however, quite prepared to be wrong.--Khajidha (talk) 15:01, 6 March 2014 (EST)
The more I'm thinking about it, the more I think you might be right. I do believe the color scheme is inspired by Bugly but they may have went with that because of the reasons you stated above. An insecticon would make sense than a pretender (Especially since they already have Chop Shop). This guy is probably Venom.Riddlerj (talk) 15:05, 6 March 2014 (EST)
Venin's colors don't look Bugly inspired to me. They strike me as intended to match Acid Storm's. --KilMichaelMcC (talk) 15:36, 6 March 2014 (EST)
