Talk:Burcane Ball

I feel like this localisation of the two names is rather questionable. Baakeen and Laggaa are both nonsense words with multiple alternative romanisations. I feel like this runs the risk of editorialising. Contrast Hammer from the same game, where its name is a real word. Star Spangled Sam (talk) 15:39, 13 February 2020 (EST)

They're nonsense words but their structure implies they're trying to invoke English-sounding words, at least to me. (And if we're going straight Romaji, it'd be Bākēn Ball and Raggā, anyway.) Saix (talk) 17:37, 13 February 2020 (EST)
But now that I Google the words, Raggā looks like it could be "Rugger", as in rugby player. Balls. Rugby. I guess? Saix (talk) 17:42, 13 February 2020 (EST)

Watching a playthough, the balls come out of mechanical volcanoes, so it could be a play on "volcano" (ボルケーノ)? Saix (talk) 11:34, 15 February 2020 (EST)

Split?

[edit]

I'm pretty sure they're together in that game guide simply for layout purposes due to having similar movement patterns. But they appear in different areas, plus the Ball one can't go through platforms while the other can. --M Sipher (talk) 03:58, 15 February 2020 (EST)
