Hey, anyone know who the jets were? I wasn't sure and wasn't prepared to take a leap of faith on their identities, and the character section is probably going to be all thrown off once we ID them, but I'm such a fail that I'd appreciate the help. Dinoshot 23:23, 22 October 2011 (EDT)

I do believe they are Autobots, being that fire upon the Decepticons and Sideswipe seems to treat them as saviors. I wanna say the one on the lower left is Jetfire, in his wacky Figueroa ongoing design. The other one could possibly be Broadside. But I don't know for sure. --Nu-Priest 23:07, 30 October 2011 (EDT)
Confirmed by the artist. It's Jetfire and Broadside. [1]--Nu-Priest 21:57, 11 November 2011 (EST)

So, I just now noticed that Galvatron, Cyclonus, Scourge, and the Sweeps are listed as Decepticons. However, in IDW continuity, aren't they an unaligned group/third faction? I don't know if Jhiaxus also counts, but all of them left Cybertron before the faction split, so shouldn't they be listed separately, as far as the IDW comics character lists go? Just a thought I was curious about. -- Boy Blunderous 22:47, 30 October 2011 (EDT)

S'what I thought, but in other more recent articles (see: Infestation and HOD) they've been listed as Decepticons. I'd make the change, but I'm not too sure how the wiki sees it, as in Devastation and Galvatron's Spotlight they were listed as separate entities from the Cons. Short answer: maybe? If other users agree, I'd be willing to do the legwork to fix it across the board. (Leg work? Finger work? Keyboard work? Whatever.) Because as inconsequential as it may be, honestly it bugs me that they're being listed as 'cons despite not being 'cons. Also, the listing of the Sweeps 'combined' mode as 'Deceptigod' kinda makes my eyebrow raise, too. --Boy Blunderous 13:13, 31 October 2011 (EDT)
This was brought up back during Infestation and HoD. We know they're not supposed to be Decepticons, but that's how they were identified in those series. Galvatron = Decepticon has been hammered in enough that's it's moved beyond an error and into a retcon. - Cattleprod 13:35, 31 October 2011 (EDT)
The problem is, it's incorrect for the continuity. I understand that we can still view Galvatron and his group as antagonists, even outright villains, but I still don't think lumping them in as Decepticons is doing anyone a service. If anything, it means that we're giving people reading the articles incorrect information - which is counter-productive to the whole point of a wiki, isn't it? --Boy Blunderous 13:53, 31 October 2011 (EDT)
If Galvatron and his buddies are consistently labeled as Decepticons within the stories themselves, that is not incorrect information. And they have been since Infestation, whether that works with previous continuity or not. --ItsWalky 14:30, 31 October 2011 (EDT)
I see. Just checked further back, and yeah, it seems that they were labeled as 'Other' until Infestation. I guess that works given the justification. Would it be out of line, though, to maybe make a note of their character pages that, as far as IDW goes, they're Decepticons in name only, since they aren't actually allied as such, have no branding, and do not identify themselves as either faction? --Boy Blunderous 14:55, 31 October 2011 (EDT)
